Can you believe it’s already Thanksgiving?! Christmas is just around the corner! This year flew by and I’m trying my hardest to get organized for the holidays. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. It’s more low-key than Christmas and it marks the beginning of the Eating Holidays! From mashed potatoes to pecan pie, I cannot wait to eat EVERYTHING on the table! It’s essentially the only reason I started Orange Theory, so I can eat and drink without guilt 😝. Thanksgiving also marks the beginning of some of the best Sales of the season. As we’re gearing up for Christmas shopping I thought I’d put together some easy shopping guides from my favorite sustainable fashion brands to the best #cleanbeauty gifts!
When it comes to sustainable fashion, it’s all about recycling the old, reusing unexpected materials, and reducing waste, water, and carbon emissions. I’ve included some of my favorite brands that exemplify these practices and items that have become daily drivers for me or are on my own Wish List.
Aurate - This New York-based direct-to-consumer luxury jewelry brand uses 100% recycled gold, ethically-sourced diamonds, and sustainably harvested pearls. This means you can have a clean conscience while wearing some stunning handmade jewelry that doesn’t break the bank.
I just ordered a pair of gold Hoop Earrings that I’m V excited about and have a gold chain necklace on my Christmas list this year.
Pangaia - This sustainable company is using some of the most innovative materials on the market from bio-based and plant fibers, like seaweed and eucalyptus to wild Himalayan nettle (PANettle™) or rain-fed hemp (PANhemp™). They treat their textiles with their signature PPRMINT™ Oil Treatment, a durable odor control finish, and broad-spectrum antimicrobial treatment that enables their products to stay fresher for longer allowing you to wash them less often. They are so dedicated to showcasing their eco materials that each item has its process and components printed on the front.
I live in their track pants and T-shirts and could not recommend them more! Pro Tip: Their sizing is unisex making it challenging to know what size to buy. I’m typically a US size 8, medium, or 29 in pants, and order a small at Pangaia.
Everlane - I’m sure you are all familiar with this retailer by now. They are a transparent, direct-to-consumer clothing company that ethically manufactures really cute basics and shares cost breakdowns so you know exactly what the cost of each part of the production process is. They also make the BEST most AFFORDABLE workout leggings EVER!
I love gifting kits! I think it’s such a fun way to share multiple products and allows the recipient to find their own favorites while getting an introduction to a new brand. If you aren’t already familiar, I’m excited for you to meet my clean beauty favorites!
RMS Beauty - I feel so lucky to be a beauty ambassador for this company! I love EVERYTHING they make! I think it is one of the most approachable makeup lines I’ve ever used, as each product is multi-purpose and they promote finger application, so no skill set is needed to get a truly beautiful glowing look. And glow you will! The ingredients in the entire RMS line are organic and wildcrafted, more reminiscent of skincare than makeup, allowing you to promote and care for your skin instead of covering it up.
Kopari - This clean skincare brand makes some of my all-time favorite body care staples that I use daily like deodorant, body wash, and my favorite hydrating body cream, all of which include organic coconut oil sustainably sourced from small family farms in the Philippines.
EvolvH - Finding effective clean haircare can be really challenging. I’ve gone through SO MANY bottles of shampoo that just won’t rinse out! What’s up with that?! So I was overjoyed when I found a clean haircare line that performs like traditional products, actually leaves my hair clean, hydrated, and frizz-free! Plus, they make some of the best introductory kits I’ve ever seen. The perfect gift for any hair type.
Traditionally my family has always filed stockings with the kind of useful items, from socks to razors, that one might not love to buy themselves. I realize as I’m writing this that this might be a unique Sobelman tradition. Nevertheless, I’m sure who's ever stocking your stuffing will appreciate the gesture. I elevated some of these items to my own personal favorite small gifts, from silk pillowcases and scrunchies to sheet masks and bath soaks, however organic socks are definitely on the list!
I find gifting skincare and facial devices to be slightly challenging since you might not be familiar with the recipient’s skin or skin concerns. So I’ve rounded up my favorite result-driven tools that are truly beneficial for all skin concerns no matter the skin type! I’ve also included various price points too 😉.
